Skills & Work
My experience and education have been rooted in the future of the web, including designing with web standards and using modern technologies like HTML5 & CSS3.
I believe websites should be designed with mobile in mind, as more and more people access the web on smartphones and tablets. Code should validate.
Background
My interest in design emerged while working as a clerk at a print & copy shop in Salem, Oregon. I began to appreciate good design and identify poor design, but I lacked the technical skills to create anything on my own.
I eventually enrolled at the Art Institute of Portland in the Graphic Design program. After studying graphic design for two years, I switched to web design and found my true calling.
My background in print and graphic design is both an asset and an aide in the projects I work on, today.
They call me "Mr. Tibbs"
I live in downtown Portland and continue expanding my knowledge and experience in web design at the Art Institute of Portland.
In my free time, I can be found thoroughly enjoying Portland's beer culture at a local restaurant, walking with my girlfriend and chocolate lab on the waterfront, or burried in tech blogs, reading the latest rumors on upcoming gadgets and technology.
